Hi! I love shopping. I REALLY love when stores start switching out seasons, and put the older stuff on massive sale.
Yesterday I went to Lucca in Midtown Village to get a sweater I'd been dreaming about for weeks. A sweater, One thing! That's it. So this is what my dressing room looked like...
It's really not my fault. They have massive sales! A whole back wall marked 75% off?! Come on, you didn't actually think I'd go straight for the sweater and leave, did you?
I actually didn't even get the sweater. It made me look like I have no shoulders. But I DID get that olive coat in the middle and this blazer:
PS - why do girls always put their hands on their hips in pictures?! I don't get it... At least I didn't duckface though.
Anyway, my shopping trip came to a grand finale when I was paying ($50 for $200 worth of things, yay!), and saw these orange Spot On cards. Turns out, it's a rewards card you can use at different boutiques, salons, and coffee shops in Tuscaloosa! A lot of bigger cities participate too, so it seems to work well.
So what you do is "check in" with the card when you shop at these places. It doesn't go on facebook (unless you want it to), but it keeps track of how many trips you've made to those places. Then after 5 or 10 trips, you get rewards - free appetizers, 15% off, free coffee, etc.
AND there's an app with it! Download the Spot On app for free, you'll get a list of participating stores.
Freaking cool, right?! Anyway, I must go continue to admire my $20 blazer that is super comfy. Tweet me awesome local deals you find! @KaciKruz
